Location: Marne, MI (near Grand Rapids, MI)
Description:

Time Trial length to be determined, likely 20K.  Open road course that has Start/Finish at the Parking lot of the Berlin Raceway (Race is NOT around the Raceway itself). 
Event is part of the State Games of Michigan, a multi-day mini-Olympics type of event, drawing thousands of athletes in various events  Recumbents likely allowed according to director: Jim Klaptor (jim@prepareformedia.com) conversing with Mike Mowett
Registration will be at: USACycling.org/events - and posted in springtime

 
7/14/2019     Monrovia Time Trial # 3 Update
Location: Monrovia, Indiana
Description:

Recumbent-friendly 20K or 40K time trial, held monthly. American Bicycle Racing (ABR) association event, for standard bicycles. Location: Start pt is Highway 42, just East of Monrovia, IN, which is southwest of Indianapolis.  Rural out n back FLAT open road course. Award: Do sub one-hour (25 mph avg) in the 40K and get a T-shirt. Fees: $20 if pre-register or $30 if you register onsite. Ed Rudolph Velodrome, 382 meter, outdoor concrete, gently banked 18 deg max
1479 Maple Ave, Northbrook, IL
200-meter Sprints.  Flying Start Riders get 1-1/2 or 2-1/2 laps to build up speed.  Electronic timing
50-lap Unfaired Race:  Mass-start, transponder timing.  Stock bikes, tail-faired
100-lap Faired Race: Mass-start, transponder timing: Streamliners
Junior Lap Race: distance to be determined
Trike Lap Race: to be determined

KENOSHA
Sunday: July 28, 2019: (8 am til 1 pm) times approximate
Washington Park velodrome: 333 meter, outdoor concrete, repaved 2015
1821 Washington Ave, Kenosha, WI
1 Kilometer Standing Start Time Trial: 3 laps of track, electronic timing
1 Hour Time Trial or Lap Races

8/10/2019 to 8/11/2019     35th Michigan Human Powered Vehicle Rally Update
Location: Waterford Hills Race Course, Clarkston, MI
Description:

The oldest running  Human Powered Vehicle event.  Includes camping, electricity and showers.  The track was re-paved last fall! 

Events:

SATURDAY, August 10: Registration and tech inspection starts 8 am
1-hour time trial (streamliner, streetliner, tricycle classes) - 9:30 am
1-hour time trial (stock, junior, women, tandem classes) - 11 am
Lunch and hot laps, 12:15 p.m. (on short loop, all classes, ride as many laps as you want; your fastest lap counts)
Hill climb/coast down (all classes) - 1:30-2:30 pm
Urban transportation contest - in afternoon.
6 p.m. (approximate) – Barbeque at the race track

SUNDAY: 200-foot sprints, flying start (all classes) - 8:30-9:30 am
Tricycle race - 10 am
Road race (faired classes, short course, no hill, 12 miles) –10:30 am
Road race (unfaired classes, short course, no hill, 9 miles) 11 am
Awards ceremony follows the last race, expected by 1 p.m.

9/7/2019 to 9/14/2019     World Human Powered Speed Challenge (WHPSC) Update
Location: Battle Mountain, Nevada
Description:

Annual Speed Challenge on Highway 305, south of Battle Mountain, Nevada with the goal of setting World Records for human powered speed in a variety of categories: Men's, Women's, Tricycle, Tandem, Junior, Arm-Powered etc.  Event santicioned by the IHPVA (International Human Powered Vehicle Association), founded 1975. 

NOTE: event starts on a Sunday this year! This day added to the usual six-day event.
